Why Estimated Times:

The reason we can not tell you when the team is an hour away or give times. Is because the huts are roughly 15 minuites apart from collection /drop addresses.

We dont know if your hut will fit on that truck untill the hut before is loaded. If the hut before is a different shape this can add 2 to 3.5 hours on, by the time the loaded huts are completed and they are back in your area.

Thre is also limited communication due to signal on some of the bays.

We are unable to provide live updates on arrival times.

Timing is heavily dependent on factors such as:

Phone signal on some of the bays

The loading of previous huts and there styles 

Delays caused by other contractors /beach hut installers 

On-site problem solving 

Certain styles of huts also take longer than others

We will update you of any significant delays once contact can be made with the crew. Please note there may be 2–3 hours between communication opportunities.

We usually provide AM or PM estimates.

Time Slots:

We now offer certain days with specific time slots of your choice (Subject to availibility) We can offer these by reducing the number of services we complete on those perticular days and allowing more time, these slots are £30.00. This is to accomandate those who require a fixed time slot rather than an estimated time, and to ensure the teams pay is covered as normal.

We have been completeing beach hut services for 18 seassons now. That's thousands of beach hut services completed around Thanet. Spare screws and spare wood carried (When available) We can complete temporary repairs on you'r hut to make them safe. This is the one service we do not generally advertise due to our regular bookings we have very limited additional spaces. It is best to book early for beach hut transport in Thanet with a main contractor like Viking Group. Ltd.

No need to book a slot with Y/L when using Viking Group Ltd:

We have different arangments with the local authority so booking once here is all you need to do.

Risk assesment, Method statment and access booking is all completed in house by us. We can not take bookings over the phone for beach hut services. All beach hut services need to be booked online, but if you have any questions please do call us on 01843-262023.
