The term “Borrower” refers to the person borrowing the vehicle

The term “Us” refers to Viking Group Ltd

The term “You” refers to the person borrowing the vehicle

The term “The vehicle” refers to the vehicle borrowed from Viking Group Ltd

The term “It” refers to the vehicle borrowed from Viking Group Ltd

THE VEHICLE

The vehicle may only be driven by the person(S) named on the insurance document provided by you to us. This vehicle is borrowed free of charge by the borrower. We may charge an admin fee from time to time for borrowing the vehicle(s)

CARD ON FILE

We keep your payment card on file and reserve the right to charge automatically for any costs such as fuel, damage, Cleaning, Fines or any other applicable charges.

FUEL AND MILLAGE

Fuel must be replaced prior to returning the vehicle to us (Fuel type is diesel) Fuel charged at £2.00 per litre for any fuel deficit. We do not reimburse for over fuelling. Millage limit is 300 miles per 24 hour period. Extra miles charged at £0.15 per mile.

INSURANCE

Insurance is the borrower’s responsibility to arange. We will check you have a valid policy. You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle you are borrowing or to any other vehicle(s) or 3^rd party property if your insurance is unwilling to pay out for any reason.

CLEANING

Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was when you picked it up. Internal cleaning fee of £50 maybe added.

You or your insurer will be charged for any damage to the vehicle.

You must inform us straight away if the vehicle develops a fault, If stolen or damaged whilst in your care.

The contents of the van must be present on return.

LATE RETURNS

If the vehicle is late back we have a duty to inform the police straight away for insurance purposes. Unless you extend your insurance to cover a late drop off regardless of fault or reason. The vehicle must remain insured whilst in your care.

The vehicle must not be taken out of the United kingdom.

FINES /CHARGES

You are liable to pay and accept responsibility for any PCN tickets, Fines, Other motoring offenses, Toll charges or other fees incurred whilst you have the vehicle. £25.00 admin fee payable per offence. Toll charges are payable at cost provided you inform us no later than at the point of returning the keys.

DAMAGE

A video of the vehicle will be sent to you by email at time of picking the vehicle up and dropping the vehicle off. This is used to charge for, or to contest against any damage charges. The maximum charge is the value of the vehicle. The value is based on the condition it was in prior to any damage caused during the time the vehicle was in your possession. 

OTHER

The borrower must be 25+ years old

The borrower must have held a valid full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Maximum borrowing period is 7 days.  

We are not liable for any damage of any items you are carrying, lose or damage to your tools or personal items.

Maximum payload for our vehicle is 1.5 Ton including the driver and any passengers.
